advice on retaking SAT I and II?

My SAT I scores, my first time (March):
CR: 740
M: 670
W: 730 (E: 10)
Total: 2140

and my subject tests (May):
Lit.: 730
Spanish: 610 :(
US History: 660 :(

I took a regular level 4 Spanish class this year and a regular United States/Virginia history. I know I will be retaking my SAT I on the October date, but does anyone have advice on re-taking the subject tests?

Next year I will be taking 7 IBs:
HL English
HL Psych
HL Chem
SL Math
SL Geography
SL Philosophy
SL Spanish

I'm thinking of possibly re-taking the Lit and taking the Chem test?
It seems like for US History my score has no chance of improving- I guessed half the test as it is.
But my Spanish could probably improve quite a bit. I'm nervous though- the curve is brutal because native Spanish speakers take the test.

What do you guys recommend- should I go for Literature, Chemistry, and Spanish?

Thanks!

Rea’s Crash Course for AP US History is a concise review for US History. A lot of people used that and got excellent (750+) scores on the subject test. Try it out and see how you do.

Literature is regarded as one of the toughest tests. I can’t give you any advice for Spanish because I don’t know the exam. Chemistry is very manageable, especially with a review book like Princeton Review, so study, take some practice tests, and see how you do.

It all depends on which colleges you’re considering. Some do not require SAT2’s at all; they are considered if submitted, but otherwise not important.
The SAT score looks like a great baseline. If you are a rising senior, I would say retake in the fall, again only if those scores are not within range of your target schools.
