Advice on rooming with an exchange/international student.

I was recently informed my roommate for the upcoming school term will be an exchange student. She didn’t provide much information about herself or how to contact her, but based on her last name I’m assuming she’s from Asia.

I’m pretty excited on meeting someone from a different country but I’m a little nervous about it. My biggest fear would be potentially doing something that might be offensive.

Any tips on how to make the living situation comfortable for both of us? thanks!

Ok so I’m an international student from China. I came here last year. My parents have been teaching me English since I was little so I am a pretty fluent English speaker. If she’s new here you might have a really hard time communicating, so give her some time to adapt. Also because of that, she might be really shy talking to you guys. I think you guys will be fine as long as you don’t talk about Politics smh.
