Hey I'm currently a senior in high school and I'm taking a placement test on wednesday for math and english for enrollment at my community college, Ohlone. Yes, I know, it's a bit too late for advice.
I took Alg2/Trig as a junior and passed and now I'm taking AP Stats as my math class. Last year during my last quarter I took the placement test to see if I could get into Precal but when the results came, the highest class I got admitted into was Alg2. I'm really unsure as to how to study for the test because I've been out of doing any math for a really long time. I'm using the websites listed on the Ohlone website, but since alot of the information is either uncategorized into either Alg1 or Alg2/Trig or not informative enough, I'm not sure how to go about studying. If I end up in Alg 2 again, I can take it but it seems like such a waste of time considering I'll have to spend the whole summer doing it and then the whole Fall semester doing Trig in order to just take Precal during the Winter or Spring.

Any tips on how to go about getting the class I want? Websites maybe?

And also, I was wondering if alot of schools out there look for challenging classes when it comes to transfer students. Cause all of these are pretty much high school leveled math classes and I want something on my transcript that's of higher caliber. Like Calc classes or vector math.
