Advice on time to take GMAT

Hi, all!

I will be a junior student next semester. I major in Accounting with minor in Finance. I want to do a master degree in finance upon graduation from university in 2010.

I would like to ask whether it's a good time for me to take GMAT this summer since the valid period of the test is 5 years.

My worry is if I don't take it now, I won't have any other better time in the future to concentrate on the test. But I'm afraid that I might take it too early. By the time I apply to the school with working experience, my score is already expired. This arises another question. Do I need working experience to apply for master in finance?

Thank you for your inputs, really.

Good Nites,
^-^

I think the best time to take it is senior year. yes i would recommend taking it before graduation since you get out of the study mode. junior year is a bit early, but if you are thinking of applying to programs such as HBS 2+2 for example it's necessary.

Thanks, cryptography. btw, please forgive my ignorance. What's HBS 2+2, will I get phd as well?

HBS 2+2 is the Harvard Business School program of 2 years work experience + MBA. They guarantee you a spot in the MBA program after you are admitted.
HBS 2+2 Program
