Rather not say. Being mindful of kids who were not accepted or are wait listed on all schools. My friend’s daughter is still highly upset. I think a lot of kids who are on the waiting lists are still reading what we write. Non Sibi is the motto of their new school. Take care…(smile)
So you’re OK narrowing down to two schools but not saying which one? From your other posts, pretty obvious that our twins are going to be rivals!
Bingo
My identical twin 11 year-old goddaughters, first generation Americans (Salvadoran), applied to 10 private day schools in Washington DC for admission to 6th grade this Fall. I was closely involved in the process They were waitlisted at three and admitted to five. Their skills and interests are close, but there are still variations, including in their testing results. I had been told that occasionally only one twin is admitted, but In the end they were both admitted to the schools. They also needed 100% financial aid, a steep climb. Three of the schools offered half aid, but one offered them both full aid. Had only one been admitted to a school, we would not have told them. I was told by a number of the AO’s that they view twins as a single unit, especially identical. But maybe that’s less true for a ninth grade admission. Of course, this is not boarding school, but I suspect the principles are the same.
Congrats to your God twins. Mission accomplished! What a relief of finding a school with a good FA package. Money is tight for all these days.
Congratulations @ThacherParent !!!
That’s awesome @ThacherParent !!
