Hello! So far I've heard that it's a good idea to apply early to UT Austin, like in August. Is there any other advice out there that will increase my chance of getting in? Especially since I'm not a top 7% auto admit.
How can I make myself stand out and look desirable on paper??
Also, what do you think about applying for a less popular major and then switching to natural sciences later? A friend who goes there now told me that might be a good options. Thanks!

I don’t know about choosing a less popular major route. It may help. As for anything else making yourself looking good on paper, if you’re a junior, what are you going to do between now and the time you apply–cure cancer? Obviously, you don’t want to waste your summer but trying to guess which summer activity admissions would like probably won’t help. Do something that means something to you and you’ll be able to convey it on your application.
