I was a bit too excited and paid the application fee for Brown before even realizing that I really wasn’t too motivated to go there. I need to know how to withdraw my application, because the “remove college” button no longer works on the Common App, seeing as I have paid the fee. Anyways, no negative comments about “you should have thought twice,” or “you are dumb for doing such a thing”. No bull*****. Just advice. I don’t want to get a letter in the spring. Plain and simple. What do I do?

How about an email to admissions office withdrawing your application? It’s all it takes.

You write them a letter.

Thanks. Could I call as well ?

Yes you can call/ email etc. Or leave it incomplete.

I would just call the admissions office. Don’t leave it incomplete otherwise the admissions office will start emailing you and telling you to submit the app later.

Would withdrawing the application entail a refund of the payment?

The fee is non-refundable so I don’t think you would get the money back, but I think that if there is a special case you could call admissions and see about that.

If you finished the app why bother? If not an email or call should withdraw.
