Advice/ Opinions Needed!!!

I am interested in applying to:
Phillips Exeter
Choate
Milton
Deerfield
Phillps Andover

I am a 15 year old white female and I am applying to get into the 10th grade. I live in Australia, so would count as an international student.I go to a private selective school and get A's and B's (mostly B's) but great teacher comments. I am interested I am in Honours math and science. I also do a language and I am in the gifted and talented group.

I volounteer at organisations helping disabled children and raise money for a school in Africa. I am in the varsity tennis team. I am a singer, and sing at all school functions and am involved in school plays/ musicals. I also am involved in choir, chamber choir, netball, soccer, touch football.

I am very passionate and very outgoing. I am not shy at all! I am a very happy and healthy person that cares very much about my education. It was my idea to apply, not my parents.
I got fantastic teacher recommendations and scored above the 96th percentile in all SSAT categories.

should i even bother applying?? Do I have a chance?

My advice to you would be to consider a wider variety of schools, look at some of the posts regarding the “Hidden Gems”. You need to highlight your talents aside from your academics. 75% of the applicants to Andover last year were academically admissible. Pick the talents you enjoy the most and approach the appropriate teachers and or coaches. That is what will make you stand out in the crowd. Also, coming from Australia may help, I don’t hear of many applicants from Down Under but then again I am not an admission officer. I am sure the schools you mention had local Alums who do interviews. My son got accepted to Andover and he never stepped foot in the Admission office. Everything was done locally.

You have zero chance if you don’t apply. You have some chance if you do.
