Advice Please! prerequisite completion

When looking through the stats of the UCLA acceptances( btw CONGRATS EVERYONE!!!!! I applaud everyone's excellence!) some people say they are DONE with prerequisites.

my question is: does it matter when you finish your prerequisite courses?

I am in my 1 st year of cc and planning to apply in the Fall hoping to go to UCLA for Psychology. I will only have half the prerequisites done, but plan to finish them all by the Spring.

will this hurt my chances of getting into my dream school?!!

lol or am I worrying for no reason...

any help will be greatly appreciated!

u just have to finish your pre-reqs the SPRING semester prior to transferring. Since i’m transferring this upcoming fall, i just have to finish everything by this semester. Dont worry about it :)

It’s probably better to have as many of them done for the winter grade report as you can, but they aren’t required to be completed until the Spring before you transfer. My sympathies, Psych has a LOT of pre-reqs lol.

yeah other soph, my boyfriend has to do the same thing for the same major. it’s difficult to get all the pre-reqs for that major done before spring… I can’t imagine most people do.

get your stats class done early though, a strong grade in mathematics is important.

^^true story

(in case you didn’t already know…psyc majors rock)

thank you everyone! The unnecessary stress has been lifted!

@transfermeup, PSYCH definitely rocks!! I saw your stats & congratulations!
I am hoping to go pre-med or pre-pharm and I think a psychology background would be good to have!
What are your plans after you graduate??
