Advice please?

Copy of my post on the Yale board

My parents don't understand the competitiveness of modern academics, and think I'm guaranteed to get in anywhere I apply. They're basically begging me to apply to Yale EA, but I really don't think I have a shot. I'm more partial to Cornell ED myself, but that's more because I think I have a good shot of getting in there and I'll be happy there. However, they seem to think that Cornell is an awful school in comparison to HYPS.

Anyway, I'm sure you guys get billions of these chances threads, but here's another one. CC, can you be brutally honest and try and give me a percentage of getting in EA? I want to major in biomedical engineering, if it makes a difference. Please forgive any ignorance on my part.

Thanks guys. :)
