Your rank is top 1%, your SAT I and II’s are very good, with just one B+, i assume your unweighted GPA is probably about a 3.96-ish, and your EC’s are pretty good. i think you have a good shot… just as good as anyone else does, maybe a little bit better than the average person who is applying to princeton… there are going to be numerous people with your stats, but if you can make yourself stick out in the essays, then you’ll have a nice shot at getting in, i think

I wouldn’t say it’s a waste of time, but wouldn’t get your hopes up. This is coming from someone who was also top 1% with SATs ~ 40 points lower than you (depending on your breakdown) that was rejected.

Your school has finance classes in 9th and 10th grade?

I think you have a fine chance - I had a lower rank, lower gpa, and lower SAT, and I also came from a competitive area.

Good luck with the application.
