Hi!
I'm a 9th grader studying in my 2nd year in India. I originally used to go to school in the U.S. I might go back to the U.S. soon.
So my goal is to become either a cardiologist, or a family doctor (the people who complete their residency but choose not to specialize). I'm trying to get in the best medical school I can.
My extracurriculars are horse riding (2nd year) and karate (yellow belt, am currently practicing. I started when I was 8, but then quit when I was 9, and now I'm starting again). If I go to the U.S., I won't be able to continue horse riding.
My school also has a program where you get to help orphans learn English and mathematics, and also help kids in a community school with the same.
What else do I need to do to get into a good undergrad college?
I know the prequisite: good grades (which I have), good SAT (general and subject tests) and ACT scores.
Do you think (with my extracurriculars and grades so far) that I am off to a good start, or should I do something else, like winning an award?

Definitely need better extracurriculars if you would like to stand out and get into a good undergrad college.
