advice por favor?

i'm starting up at an internship on monday at an engineering firm. i'm looking for some advice about what to wear. we're required to wear work boots which is kind of a bummer b/c what kind of female clothing matches with work boots. (we're supposed to dress nicely i.e. shirts w/ collars and khaki pants)

also, if anybody has advice about do's and don'ts of internships please pass them on to me! i'm kind of nervous about this whole thing b/c i'm one of the youngest ppl and i think i'm the only female...

sniffle someone please give me advice!

Two piece bikini and a parasol if you are going outside.

lmao i think i would get fired. it's a very conservative sort of company.

But don't forget the work boots.

..and is there such thing as a one-piece bikini? I don't think so..

i suppose u could have a one piece swimming suit and the bottom portion would be in bakini style??

When I was little I had a one-piece that looked like a two-piecer from the back. Twas orange and yellow plaid.

wear longish pant that will mostly cover the boots...

That sounds cute. I'm a fan of plaid.

mm good idea!

Wear a nice, white button-up with a pretty camisole underneath--though nothing silky or lacy. A solid color. Get nice-cut khakis, one inch under the navel, rounded hip and thigh, slightly snug to the knee, and then a boot cut or flare. Have them come over the boots, but not touch the floor. You can always roll up the pants for a few minutes if you need to.

Yeah. If the weather is warm, get one of those tulip skirts that isn't as fitted as the pencil skirt. I think it's more conservative while still maintaining flattery. And a button up shirt (solid colored, because see-through can sometimes be risky) is nice. I've often seen girls wear sweaters over their dress shirts..

About the internship. I've never had one either, but I know that if I had an intern, I would want her to be relatively eager, but not super-annoying. :) Hope I helped.

If it requires work boots I'm not sure I'd wear a skirt...

lol yeah i'm a bit nervous about wearing a skirt. boots imply some sort of labor which probably wouldn't go well with a skirt anyway.

and after the first couple days you should be able to tell whether a skirt would work... I wouldn't start out in one though.
