Advice/Questions

Hello,

I have just recently finished my Sophomore year of high school and I have a few questions I would like to have answered before I enter my Junior Year.

For Junior year, I signed up for 2 AP classes, AP Language & Comp and AP US history, but now i'm contemplating on whether or not I should take a third, which is AP psychology. In my HS you do NOT need to take regular psychology before enrolling in the AP class, but as a student who has no history in ANY AP classes besides honors English, I was wondering if it would be a wise choice to take AP psyc before taking the regular version.
I had heard from my fellow peers that regular psychology was an "Easy A" and they all decided to take the AP class next year. I have no issues with taking regular psychology before taking AP, it's just the fact that I would like my senior year to be sorta "easy" in a sense, and also Junior year is the most important so i would like to get my GPA as high as possible.
Sorry if I confused you in all of ^^ that, In a shorter summary, would taking AP psyc overwhelm someone who's taking AP Lang & Comp and AP US who also has no previous experience in any AP class.
Also is there anything I should expect in AP pyschology?
Thank you in advanced!! :D

Do not take regular psych. The AP course and exam should be an easy A/5 without taking the regular class beforehand. It’s basically just a class where those who do the reading get As and those who don’t even pick up the book get Ds because most of the material is either common sense or something they heard about on TV. Also, an A in regular psych is not going to boost your GPA enough to really matter in the end.

In my school pretty much everybody and their mom takes AP psychology. One reason why you should take it is because you learn so much and end up applying to everyday life. And you really don’t have to pick the book to get an A. Second semester I just left the book at home everyday and didn’t bother reading it because second semester I had a teacher who actually taught so I just retained everything he said in the lessons and took notes on it. Really if you know the vocab terms and the famous psychologists then it easy.

On a side note APUSH is literally the best thing ever.

Junior year I took: Honors Pre-Calc, Honor Eng. 11 (because I hate English and they write to much in AP), AP Chemistry, Spanish III, APUSH, AP Psych, and AP Human Geo

I didn’t feel overwhelmed at all by taking AP Psych
And AP Psych was my second easiest class behind AP Human which is so basic.
