Hello everyone,
I am a current sophomore, and on the PSAT, I got a 1260. That translates to a little above an 1800 on the old SAT. What would be the most effective way to raise this score to be above a 1460 (220 old PSAT). I know the jump is very high, but I still have ample time left before the October PSAT.
Would Khan Academy be a great tool?
For reference, I got a 640 on the math section and a 620 on the verbal.
I missed a lot of reading questions because some of the passages were just very hard to comprehend for me. Also, I remember that I couldn’t concentrate very well. I felt panicky, and my thoughts couldn’t form.
I want above the equivalent of 2200 on the New SAT too to be competitive for top colleges.
I know that I have to work hard and the SAT is just a number, but as of right now, it definitely needs to be higher.
Any advice would be awesome!
use khan academy and purchase the new SAT book and do many many practice tests. as for not being able to concentrate, just try to relax and remember that the SAT isn’t the only thing that colleges look like, and if you don’t hit that 2200 that time, you can take it again. colleges dont really care if you take it one, two or a thousand times.
