:( Advice?

I'm quite frustrated with my writing section. I repeatedly get 11's and 12's on the essay, but miss a ton on the MC sections. What can I do to remedy this? I find myself to be a more or less talented writer, yet the MC section continuously tries to prove me wrong.

Signed,

Get a book that covers all of the grammar rules that the SAT goes over. After reviewing the rules about 2-4 times just start taking A LOT of writing tests. What I did was I printed off about 6 practice SATs and separated them by subject into a binder and everyday tried to take one. It helped a lot!

what did you get simpleton/>?

it doesn't mean you're a bad writer. for example, the SAT wants all
sentences to be parallel in structure, but a sentence that's not parallel isn't
grammatically wrong. also, the right answer on the MC is often the most
concise wording...I often think one answer is actually the most elegant but realize that another answer is more concise and to-the-point.

^u have to discard ur past knowledge about grammar, learn the ones for SAT. u cannot argue with ETS =S for example --the family, they..-- who said this sentencei s wrong, family is a collective noun, but not in SAT, correct answer should be "it" pick up a grammar book and review all u need to know, people recommend rocket review

I have Barron's SAT flashcards -- think it'll do the trick?

I got a 700 on the section with a 12 on the essay.
Usually I manage a bit higher, but this just blew my mind.
