Advice?

Okay, so I am already having to take a course online due to little room in my schedule due to my ECs, i am going to be a senior next year, and a senior course i have to take is a semester of economics. but I was thinking about taking Journalism I (to add another ECs to my app and cause I think it would be fun and interesting and I'd get some writing exp)

So should I dropped Economics (an Honors courses) and take it online and take Journalism I.. or just take Economics

Do you have money for the online course?

EDIT: If you do then take Econ online.

Its only a semester, so about $170, I have to talk to my dad about it (I cant ever get hired because of my EC schedule, so no money for myself), but he will pay for it if I want to do it… However, I was thinking of taking a college class online, so it depends on if I do that… but thats not a 100% thing yet

Where are you getting a class for $170, please do tell. I’m paying $300 for a .5 credit course and I already paid $600 for full credit.

University of Texas, only place I can co-enroll for state credit

I know you want to challenge yourself, but you won’t want to take too many classes and overreach your capabilities. Trust me, by the end of senior year when you have your acceptance letters in hand, you won’t want to much of anything except have fun. Unless you believe you can stay motivated, I would advise against taking both.

Also, don’t take a class if your sole purpose for taking it is to add to your resume. Take whatever classes you enjoy.

That being said, if you’re willing to take a class online, then its probably one you want to take. I say take the economics class because you might like it better than a class that pads your resume.

I have a lot of friends in Journalism and I’ve always wanted to join but never had room in my schedule… It wouldn’t be for padding
Also it would only be the 1st semester, 2nd semester i have AP U.S. Government

I don’t want to take economics is the thing, I have to, its a Texas requirement (I think, if not then just my schools)
