Advise an aspiring oarsman

I am a junior at a very good public high school just outside of Boston. I am interested in attending Williams and hope to row on the heavyweight crew team there.

I would appreciate perspectives on my chances for admission.

GPA: 3.9 (unweighted) - taken the most demanding course load in my class. Have taken an independent AP course each year in addition to the normal honors courseload. My school does not formally rank students but I surmise that I'm among the top three students.

Thanks so much.

Sounds like a serious shot and likely a good fit. No one can be assured of a slam-dunk, however.

Talk to Coach Regan. (Cdr1@Williams.edu). I was recruited with similar test scores and slightly worse GPA. I am 6’, 155 lbs. and got in with a 6:43. That said, doing some social service will round out your application well.
