Advocate for Florida State

Here is a new university website where FSU students, faculty, alumni and supporters can show their support for Florida State University. The website provides information about how we can help FSU in the current legislative session.

This support is incredibly important for Florida State. The Legislature needs to hear from each of us…and the Legislature is in session now.

Yea, new Florida governor Rick Scott admits that he doesn’t even bother to read Florida newspapers, so it is important for us to inform Scott and the legislators what is going on in Florida and at FSU. The “Advocate for FSU” program is something every FSU supporter should participate in.

[Rick Scott confident tax cuts will happen, says he doesn’t read Florida newspapers | jacksonville.com](http://jacksonville.com/opinion/blog/403455/abel-harding/2011-01-19/rick-scott-confident-tax-cuts-will-happen-says-he-doesnt)

Whatever happened with the Advocate for FSU website? I signed up for its emailing list, but don’t remember receiving any updates. I think as far as students go, our tuition is going to be allowed to be increased by the state and Bright Futures awards decreased. The legislature is doing us a big favor allowing tuition increase and reducing funding for FSU!

Nothing happened to the website. There is a new video from President Barron regarding FSU Day at The Capitol on 4/12 @10:00 AM for all FSU students, faculty, alumni and supporters.

Go 'Noles!

Sign up and support FSU!!
