AEM: Advise on courses needed please.

AP placement credit=fulfilled requirements credit?
I plan to place out of Intro. bio. calculus 111, and one semester of FWS using my AP credits. But does that mean I also fulfill my Biol. , FWS and math requirements in the AEM program? How about using them to count towars some minors requirements?
Please help
How difficult is Chinese at Cornell? Should I take that in Freshman year if I can place out of those courses afore mentioned?
For AEM, do you recommend retaking Calc111 to prepare for future courses? How much math do you need to know for AEM majors?

Any advise?

Chinese is a difficult course. Takes a lot of time. It is a 6 credit course too.

i would advise to take any language course as late as you can...unless CAS advisors force you to take it >_>

why do you say that, fd36?

don't listen to fd36. Taking a language is really dependent on how good you are with languages. If you can pick it up quickly, it's not as bad as it sounds. You can always take the class for a week or two and see how the load is. If it's too much, just drop the class.

Can you take Chinese as S/U? That will make it a lot more palatable.
