I am aware of the fact that AEM is one of the hardest programs in Cornell
I firmly believe that business is what I want to do… My ECs and essays show my passion for business… please chance me!!

Looks pretty good. If you show that you really want cornell in your application, and your essays/recs are good, I'd say you have a pretty good chance.

you have a decent chance. everyone who gets into aem has similar or better stats and activities though. plenty of them are "entrepreneurs" and have ******** registered businesses just to put on their resumes. just hope you stand out somehow, the patent will help.

very depressing to hear that jasonsk
i guess most of the applicants have better stats than i do... it seems that my sats (out of 1600) are on the high end though... not sure though..err

wats the mid range on the SAT
are my ECs too weak for AEM?

Umm...I dont' think most AEM majors have better stats. I think you fit in pretty well (in terms of scores and EC's with other AEM majors).

As far as AEM majors being "entrepreneurs" and having businesses, that's completely untrue. I don't know of a single AEM major (besides myself, and that started last year) that has started their own business (more than a lemonade stand) or done anything super special. It certainly helps to demonstrate an interest in business though.
