AEM Regular Decision?

Hey guys,

Well I'm currently debating on whether or not to apply to AEM RD. I heard there is great recruiting out of the college but that it is very hard to get into. If I applied to a easier college such as CLAS, would it be an easy transfer into the AEM program? I'm planning on llisting AEM as my #1 on the CA but what do you guys suggest as listing for my #2 spot that will give me the best chance to transfer in.

Anyway, while you're on this thread, why not tell me what you think my chances are.

Notes: Thanks for the help guys. My school doesn't allow students to take AP's freshmen or sophomore year and only allows us to take 3 a year during junior and senior year. Also, if you wouldn't mind, what do you think about my EC's. I know they're not spectacular like the majority of people on this site but throw out your opinion.

Good thing your Bs were in freshman year :-)!

None of your ECs are impressive enough to count except:

Internship at Private Equity firm - 10hrs a week the past summer

But i’d call that a really nice EC so that’s good! :)

I heard AEM is extremely competitive to get into, so I’m going to call it a reach. Any other school and I’d think it’s a low reach. You have a decent ACT score and GPA for Cornell - as in you have just a good a chance as any other applicant.

Good Essays + Recs will give you an advantage. Good luck! :)

Alrighty, thanks!

that username is not going to get you very far on the Cornell forum ;)

your stats are average, so try to emphasize your more “uncommon” EC’s on your app (if you do apply). show your passion for business/AEM in your essay… they want ppl who really want to attend AEM in the end.

Thanks Hilarious,

I’m not going to lie UVA is my #1 :D. Also, I think my business essay is pretty good. I already wrote it for Gtown and it discusses why I’m attracted to certain aspects of business.

Anyone else have an opinion?
