Loved the OSU tour. Loved the campus, town, city. Also loved Purdue. Need help from aero students to tell me why OSU is better then Purdue fr engineering. I know all the ratings, stats, etc. I’m stuck between the schools and in a bind. Thanks.
It has been a week and not one response, I guess that sums up my question. I was hoping to hear some positive things about OSU engineering.
My son is an Engineering major at OSU. He was also between Purdue and OSU. When he was deciding he was worried that if he changed his mind about Engineering he wouldn’t want to be at Purdue. Also, he loved the city feel versus the small town. He loves OSU and is just finishing up his sophomore year in Engineering. He is involved in many different activities, loves Columbus and of course the football team. What Engineering major are you considering? There is another conversation specifically about Engineering here and I detailed a lot of info on actually getting into your major, it may be helpful. Good Luck!
Don’t let the slow responses sway your decision! I read this earlier but didn’t reply then because I am not a student, but the parent of one (or 2). This board seemed pretty quiet in the past week. Probably all those OSU students thinking about spring break! (They are on it now.

My oldest daughter is studying biochem at OSU now and my youngest will be headed there in the fall for engineering. The youngest was also torn between Purdue and OSU until we took the tour at Purdue. That tour was the deciding factor. She felt OSU’s tour and engineering overview were more well prepared and informative than Purdue’s. She also loved the feel of OSU vs. Purdue and OSU’s never ending things to do in and around the campus. Columbus is a wonderful city and you will never get bored at Ohio State!
