Aeronautical Engineering major, class decisions?

I'm interested in the field of aeronautical engineering, but I'm unsure of what classes to take in high school? I'm a freshman right now and I was given the decision of either taking regular Chemistry or AP Chemistry. Which class would benefit my major the most? AP Chem or regular Chem?

Choosing the more rigorous courses, as long as you can handle them, in high school is always beneficial. Assuming that AP chemistry is more rigorous than regular chemistry, then AP chemistry is the preferable choice, whether or not the AP credit ends up being useful to place out of introductory chemistry at a university.

Definitely take AP Chem. Most engineering branches, no matter if you do aeronautic or not, will require college level chemistry and it’s best to just get it out of the way.

If you haven’t done much chemistry before though, expect the AP class to be quite challenging.
