Hi,
I am recent graduate in BEng Honours aerospace technology from Coventry university UK. Before this final year I did higher national diploma in aeronautical engineering. I passed both BEng and HND with first class gaining 82.2 percent in my final year. My further plan is to study at Embry riddle aeronautical university in Florida for masters in aerospace engineering. I want to know after finishing MSc will I be able to get a job in USA ? My main concern in my bachelors I have diploma and then one year top up but in USA people do a four year technical engineering degree. Or should I select a program which is more towards management like mba or ms in engineering management to be on safe side.

If you are an international student who would be trying to find employment in the US, it will be tough and extremely difficult. Aerospace industries are typically clients of the government and government contracts require US citizenship.

Most of the well paying aerospace opportunities are government contracts and not only will they require a US citizenship, but a security clearance. Secret clearance is easy to get as long as you’re a US citizen, don’t have a criminal background and don’t have financial troubles. Top Secret and above are usually more difficult with people who have foreign contacts.
