Hello. I'm a senior in High School and I've recently finished sending out all of my applications (thank god). I wanted to try to gather some information about the AE program at Minnesota Twin-Cities. Things like it's facilities, professors, internship or co-op opportunities or programs, overall program, and how it is regarded by companies such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, NASA, or SpaceX.

Also, I was wondering how it stacks up against other universities such as Ohio State, Purdue, and UT Austin. I've heard some bad things about the AE program at Ohio State, but I know Purdue and UT Austin have top-notch programs.

Any information I thank for in advance.

U of M is #11 on the US News & World Report College List of Aeronautical Engineering Rankings.

I’m aware of that. However, I’d rather have some more concrete data or personal experience than just a ranking. I regard USNews rankings with a healthy helping of salt.

Not an AE myself, but I think the program is well-respected and I have seen people get some very good internships/hires. Purdue and UT are obviously top-notch so you don’t have any bad choices here. You’ll know more following admission/financial decisions, campus visits, etc.
