Aerospace Engineering Graduate School Acceptance Chances?

<p>My intention is to apply to graduate school for aerospace engineering.
Do I have a greater chance of being admitted to a graduate school by
choosing to apply for the Direct PhD program? I want a PhD in the long run.</p>

<p>Also, based on my stats below which graduate schools should I apply to?
I would love to get into a top 10 school for aerospace engineering.</p>

Majors: Mechanical Engineering and Computational Physics
Minor: Mathematics
GPA: 3.8 (4.0 for last 70 hours)
Magna Cum Laude Honors Student</p>

<p>GRE
Quantitative: 800
Verbal: 600
Writing: 5</p>

<p>Research: 1 semester of computational physics research
2 semesters of mechanical engineering research
1 summer ME research program at the University of Iowa
(2 conferences, 1 poster presentation)
1 summer AE research program at the University of Michigan
(possible publication)</p>

<p>TA: I have been a Statics TA for 1 year and was the highest rated TA in the ME dept.
I was a Mechanical Engineering Lab 1 TA for 1 year as well</p>

<p>Extracurricular: Boxing Club, Treasurer for Alpha Phi Omega for one semester and completed 150 hours of community service, Treasurer for AIAA 1 year, Professional Development Chair and VP for ASME each for one year, VP and President for 1 year each for Pi Tau Sigma</p>
