So I'm looking at UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, UCD, UCI. I know Berkeley doesn't have AeroE, so I'd apply as MechE there. How would those 5 UCs be ranked for AeroE? Something along UCB>UCLA>UCSD>UCD=UCI? And where would Cal Poly SLO be in this? And University of Alabama Huntsville? Since I don't want to put a strain on my parents for paying...and I'd rather graduate with as little loan as possible. Based on my GPA, SATs, ECs, etc, I think I'd be a solid contender for UCB, UCLA, UCSD. UCD and UCI should be no problem. The UCs are cheaper than most other schools, and I will be able to get a full tuition scholarship at UAH.

bump? 10char

UCLA is pretty good for aerospace

Cal Poly SLO would be the best school for engineering at a cheap price. I’m a senior as well and I’m in the same predicament you’re in. Money is very tight in my family. I’m not sure how I’ll be able to pay tuition especially will all these budget cuts the California education system is experiencing. Just apply to some UCs, and some Cal States as back-ups. Hopefully FASFA will make things more manageable in terms of payment. Good luck! :]

Thanks! Yea I just basically have UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCD, UCI, UAH, and I guess Cal Poly SLO on my list now. I’ll see what happens…but I don’t think I’ll get much financial aid!
