You don’t apply for majors at UF. You select a major and if you do well, you can stay, if you don’t do well, you get kicked out of your major and have to choose a new one.

Like drc513 said, you apply and are accepted to the University and not the major. As a freshman you can choose any major, though by the time you’re a junior, you will have to meet the competitive requirements for any limited access programs. For example, BM engineering is limited access, while AE is not(just keep your 3.0 GPA in your core classes and you’re fine).

With all that being said, you need to compare yourself to the 2014 Freshman profile:

It’s hard for us to translate an International IB student to a domestic US student (but it’s not hard for UF), so I can’t really say much about your chances. Your ACT score is fine (but not great), and UF like’s IB students (many Florida in-state UF students had gone through the IB program).

Good Luck!

Note: It’s a bet harder for an international student to find employment in the domestic/US AE field, since much of the work is related to the military field and requires a security clearance (which is harder for an none US citizen to get). Something to keep in mind. Also, dual majoring in ME and AE is fairly popular at UF, as it opens up more employment opportunities.
