<p>Is it important that the degree is ABET certified (or whatever its called)? because im not sure if my school (UW-Madison) is ABET approved for this major.</p>

<p>Also, what is the job outlook for aerospace engineering? specifically with a focus on astronautics...</p>

<p>Not important for aerospace. Don’t worry about it. You don’t need a PE license from the state to build something and rocket it into space.</p>

<p>I need a state license to restripe your parking lot, but not to design an intercontinental ballistic missile and plunk some dudes on the top of it.</p>

If the shuttle fails, most people probably won’t be affected, but if that parking lot isn’t planned out properly, it’ll be chaos!</p>
