Aerospace Engineering?

Hello,
I'm an accepted freshman who will be majoring in aerospace engineering.
I am accepted to Purdue also and I cannot decide which one would be a better choice.
I searched everywhere on the web, but I cannot find any "honest" opinions about those programs.
I know that GT is ranked higher than Purdue (I also know that ranking is not everything), but Purdue's program looks appearing too.
I'm leaning more towards GT, but Purdue looks appearing too.
So, it'll be helpful if anyone can tell me what's ae program is like in GT. I'm also curious that being much smaller major than other engineering majors such as Mechanical Engineering would be an advantage or not.

Thank You

hey man,

my stats are a bit outdated since my dad went to tech a while ago. but from what he tells me, the aerospace engineering program is awesome. besides just the science and math, there are a ton of industry connections available to georgia tech students. not sure about now though, but i can only imagine its about the same (still ranked top 2 or so). personally, i’d say go with georgia tech. its a well-known, reputable school with a student body a bit more academically oriented than purdue (undergraduate, just based on stats). purdue is a great school, but the environment georgia tech provides is unmatched. lets face it: tech is an engineering school that is KNOWN for aerospace.

but then again, thats just my two cents. maybe a current student can better answer your question.

I would say Tech because you have great opportunites to co-op in places such as Houston, Texas (Mission Control) and Huntsville, alabama. after you co-op, you are most likely to be offered a job too.
