Wait listed Aerospace…

I am a transfer student with a 3.83 GPA and a 4.0 in all major courses. I also have the maximum amount of work experience and extra curricular activities you can specify on the application and I was wait listed as well.

got rejected today :/

GPA: 4.17 W (3.56 UW)

This really rustles my jimmies. Cal Poly is so competitive, yet people with lower GPA’s are getting in, albeit with different majors. Here’s hoping to getting into a good UC. I don’t want to have to spend a year at CC and transfer.

I cant believe, I got in.
They changed my status from waitlisted to accepted to Aerospace Engineering.

Congratulations, you have been selected for admission to Cal Poly pending your meeting the following Terms and Conditions. Click on the link for further information.

Have any other aerospace transfers heard back from Cal Poly yet?

I applied in November for regular decision and got accepted for Aerospace Engineering in early February.

At time of application I had:
4.2 Weighted GPA
31 ACT
3 AP classes this year, 2 last year
For EC’s, I play on the varsity golf team, participate in student government, have a job, and have my pilot’s license.

My son was admitted to SLO in Aerospace Engineering on Feb 22, the same day we happened to be there for a tour, the admission officer told him to check his portal, when we got back to the hotel he checked and the decision had been posted.
He has a
4.06 weighted
3.97 unweighted
32 ACT
4 AP’s, 3 honors classes
TONS of EC’s including competitive gymnastics, competitive snowboarding and competitive water ski racing,
NHS, Sealbearer, etc
Volunteering for animal rescue groups plus Pilots N Paws and studying for his private pilots license.
Deciding between SLO, UC Davis (also Aerospace) and UCSD (where he applied for Aero but was accepeted into 6th college undeclared)
Waiting on USC and UCLA still…
Also accepted but not really considering
University of San Diego, Gonzaga, UW, Univ of Portland, Boulder

RPVMom, I got into SLO as a GenE major and CPP, UCD, and UCSD (Sixth college) as a ChemE major (my first choice). I’m still waiting for UCLA and Cal, but ultimately I’m deciding between SLO and UCD right now. The decision is too hard!

Our son is off the waitlist for Aerospace Eng. !!! Portal changed last week and video followed 4 days later. We are very excited. SLOBOUND for sure !!!
