I got a 2050 on my SAT with a composite score of 1340. I have an ACT score of 33, and I have a nice record of community services and a pretty good GPA. I always took the highest level classes and did pretty well in them (I got A's for 90% classes I took in high school)

What else does UT dallas look at in considering for the AES Scholarship? I just got the notification for a scholarship offer and I only got the Achievement Scholarship, when I was honestly expecting at least Honors scholarship.

Someone help please

It looks like this year the scholarship committee is looking more at ECs rather than test scores/grades.
I got the Honors Scholarship with a 33 ACT, 3.94 GPA, and my school doesn’t rank. I have a ton of ECs, including leadership positions and 300+ community service hours. I’m not sure if this matters or not, but I’m also a student at the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science (TAMS).
@onion123 Do you know for sure if they are looking more at ECs?
My son has a lot of ECs-tons with music including professional work, award winning robotics team, 300+ community service hours, etc., but we’re in California. His SAT was 2230 (1480 Cr+M), and at the time of the application, gpa was 3.95/4.52. He only got an Achievement award. Very bummed. Pretty sure he won’t be going to UTD.
Wow. That’s a really high sat score. How did he only receive an Achievement award? Did you try emailing them?
