yes full tuition scholarship with the AES 2nd or 3rd tier @ACT2017
other texas schools such as rice, ut, a&m
Do you know the actual process for appealing/ asking for a re review.
@hypebeast2 i just got my official offer in my email, i was told by the advisor to email her or to email the aes account asking for a rereview and they would send the appropriate links
@ACT2017 would you recommend I email the advisor directly about my health issues or simply ask for the links appropriate for the appealing process? need your expert advise since you have tread in these footsteps…
@GTAustin i received my official offer, how should i go about appealing and presenting the revised GC letter and the doctors note and fax from india.
@artificialaddy - submit revised GC letter explaining your medical condition and how it impacted your grades. Ask AES to review new information.
I was talking to a bunch of ppl and they said with a 33 on ACT, we should’ve had almost 99℅ chance of full ride/tuition. When u re review point out your ACT and medical condition. Grades aren’t that important.
@hypebeast2 what full rides are you thinking that UTD offers? Even National Merit isn’t a full ride. Full ride and Full tuition are very different!
@3scoutsmom i believe he was referring to the aes full tuition…
@hypebeast2 what aes tier have you recieved so far
@3scoutsmom I was referring to full tuition.
@artificialaddy I have received aes achievement so far. I am planning to ask for a re review bc both of my scores shouldve given me a really good chance at aes distinction.
@hypebeast2 keep me updated
I’m sending my email this morning before school
I had 1470 on the new SAT and good ECs and didn’t even get Achievement.
For international like me, even the lowest level AES is a huge deal as we get in-state tuition.
Took me by surprise as the average for the lowest level was only 1400. Guess it’s getting extremely competitive.
Idk if I should re-review as I’m not taking the SAT again. Just the same stats.
Hope you all get successful re-reviews.
@wolfwing123 - when did you apply and got admitted to school?
@ACT2017 Applied mid-October. Accepted 2nd November.
That’s why. I think only students admitted before either Nov.1 or Nov. 3 get a ach
- get a scholarship decision in December
It was confirmed to me this morning that only students accepted by November 3 have been considered thus far.
It’s students admitted prior to November 3. Not 1. And I got in on the 2nd. So…
@artificialaddy I emailed UTD and they said extenuating factors aren’t considered in the re review process
@hypebeast2 yeah I’m not sure what to do rn
