i have a friend. she recieved a packet of acceptance in march before she entered.

I imagine it is a bit different for us priors but I was notified about two weeks ago by my Commander, I got an email Friday from my ALO, and I just got the official accept/decline form yesterday.

Hi. I am attending the prep school this year. I was notified about two weeks ago two. I play soccer and my coach said they were giving out appointments to the prep program from about two weeks ago until May. The Congressional office called me, then My ALO called. I also recieved a letter of acceptance about five days after I recieved those phone calls. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the answers...my son didn't get a appointment to the academy, but we were hoping for the prep school...but haven't heard anything. But he has recieved a AFROTC scholarship.

Thanks for all your help.

Would there be a page where you could view his status, like on the candidate "kit" page? I don't know, but was just wondering.

That is exactly the page you should go to. Where it says status mine changed from Candidate to Offered Appointment to Prep School, or something along those lines.

i was notified in late january and didnt get the mail until march

One of my friends in 09 was supposed to go to the prep school but at the last minute (I think a couple of days before I-day) got the news that he was actually offered a direct appointment. So you never know! ;)
