<p>I'm not looking for a debate; what affect will the Fischer vs. UT case have on medical school admissions if the Supreme Court votes in favor of Fischer? If I am a URM submitting my application in June, will this affect me substantially?</p>

<p>If youhave stats and other things just like evrybody else, I do not know why it would affect you. You cannot be denied a spot based on your URM status, it is illegal, but I am not a lawyer.</p>
<p>no one really knows what the Supremes will decide, whs, or how narrowly. The Supremes could find for the University. The Supremes could find in favor of the plaintiff on a really small technical point, and their ruling might only apply to UT-Austin. Or, they could throw out race-based AA in total (which is probably unlikely, IMO).</p>
