Affirmative Action for Transfers?

I was wondering whether AA factors into the transfer admissions process. Don't they accept all the URM's they need during Freshman admissions?

so you think there is a limit to the need? That sounds like you are speaking quota..........is that what you are saying?

i hope not. i think whoever has the best stats should be accepted.

best stats isn't affirmative action tho......which issue are you asking about.

i have in my head that affirmative action is if one person has better stats than another person and the other person gets picked instead just because of their race. i guess my interpretation is wrong.

i was just wondering whether they gave preferential treatment to URM's or not during the transfer admissions process.

They don't do AA anymore.

There is no AA but but it has to be an issue. I was just reading a report last week about the schools with the highest minority percentages so they keep track of that stuff. Obviously your numbers have to be there but we can only speculate if race plays any issue, not in the affirmative action sense but the cultural diversity.

It's tracked of course, but will not play any role in your application.

for transfer not really. for good schools you can't really rely solely on AA anymore anyhow.
