Affirmative Action Question

If Student A is Black and Student B is Half-Black, does Student B get less of an advantage than A?

I'm curious because I've heard very little about how colleges look upon those of mixed race.

I suppose that in most cases a half-black applicant would just mark down African American, but please humor me.

Hmm...well would a half-black, half-hispanic student get double the advantage of a black student? Half minority, double minority, I don't think it matters: they're both minorities.

It all depends on what that person would check. If know of part white part asian people with American last names who opt not to check that. Also, I know of a Spanish Jew who only checked spanish.

If I would have to give an answer, i think student A has the advantage.

Yeah. Studnet A. A lot of 1/4 white kids 3/4 jap kids just check off white cause they don't look japanese.
