<p>What are the best schools in the U.S. that are big on Affirmative Action? I know about Columbia University but what other great schools admit a lot of African Americans, as well? </p>

<p>Most schools, including all the Ivies, practice affirmative action to some degree. The only major exceptions are the UCs.</p>
<p>Small liberal arts schools (especially in the north) are searching for minorities.</p>

<p>This is correct. LACs in the north are also a good option. Think Minnesota, Wisconsin, Maine, etc.</p>
