I will let you know. I am just freaking out but I am going to wait and see what happens. I am going to consider some other places

It is okay to wait & see what Loyola offers you. However, I hope you and your mom will not borrow a lot of money to go there. Hopefully, if Loyola doesn’t work out, Concordia will. I just met with one of my students today - I work at a grad school - and she shared with me that she borrowed WAY too much money for undergrad. Not only did she borrow a lot of federal loans (including additional unsub due to PLUS denial - and her mom borrowed PLUS senior year, when mom’s PLUS for some reason was actually approved - even though she was in bankruptcy), but she also borrowed more than $35,000 in private loans. She has worked really, really hard to keep her grad debt to a minimum, and she will be able to get into an Income Based Repayment Plan … but she won’t have that option when it comes to repaying her private loans. She got no help (in terms of understanding her true costs) from her private undergrad’s financial aid office, and her family had no understanding of financial aid (she was the 1st in her family to go to college). She said she wished she had known not to go to a school where she had to borrow so much.

Please let this be a lesson.

^^Heed kelsmom’s story. One of my daughter’s teachers mentioned the burden of his college loans. I have no idea where he went or how much he borrowed but he strongly discouraged loans. He pretty much said, “My lifestyle and where I could live would be a LOT different if I did not have student loans. It’s a mortgage payment.” during a talk about college applications, scholarships.

Yes I do not want to take out a lot on loans. I agree that it could be a mistake. However, I will wait and see, but I am also applying to cheaper schools. Hopefully I can make my dream school a reality.

hey I just wanted to clear something up. I did not mean to say that I refuse to attend a state school. that was a mistake. I am just not sure if I want to attend one because of the large sizes. that is why my parent’s are not sure if they want me to attend. I am totally applying to state schools it is my second choice to attend one. I just wanted to clear this up.I have nothing against them.

“I am just not sure if I want to attend one because of the large sizes. t”

Again, as a junior, you’ll be deep within your psych major. Your classes will mostly be in 1 or 2 buildings. The size of the school will largely be irrelevant.

I know I just wanted to explain.

Thanks though!
