<p>To the original poster (i’m not gonna touch BestofT’s comments). Do you really think that your impressive admissions are based solely upon your race? Do you think that you are less prepared than your peers? Do you think that (insert name of presitigous uni here) admitted you simply because your are URM? Many URM’s apply to prestigous schools and are denied.</p>
<p>There is no reason to share your acceptances. My D (a white girl) didn’t share her impressive list with many of her classmates. I think many high school kids have a weird sense of guilt when they rise above their peers in one aspect or another. (winners guilt) </p>
<p>If your not comfortable sharing then don’t. It’s none of their business. But at the same time don’t minimize your accomplishments.</p>
