There's quite a bit more, but I think this is sufficient. Thanks again.

The SCEA admit rate is around 20%, and I assume the SCEA admit rate for qualified URMs is substantially higher - although it is unreported.

SEE stats at : http://www.jbhe.com/pdf/2005/freshmansurvey.pdf

do you have another link for the site you listed above; it is not working.

Thanks

How come the EA rate is so high? Would've thought it'd be lower!

Re: the guy's chances, you look pretty amazing, apart from SAT - you got 1320/2400?

http://www.jbhe.com/pdf/2005freshmensurvey.pdf

(I think I put an extra "slash" in their earlier)

nah; actually a 1320 on the verbal and math; i got a 770 on the writing. Total score was a 2090

You're definitely in, especially if you can raise your SAT score to a 2200. If so, I have very little doubt in your acceptance.

I wouldn't suggest retaking the SAT unless you can improve to at least 2200, like savoirfaire suggested, if you're unsure try taking a couple practice tests, and grade them. Most colleges won't care unless you can improve more than 100 points. You're chances are good, but we all know that college admissions is just like gambling, you won't know the outcome until you try.

Thanks for the advice everyone; no one in my area has been accepted into Harvard for many many years and I was really stressing over my chances. I've only taken the SATs once; should I go at it a 2nd time?

UKRUS - EA applicants are generally stronger, plus applying EA inadvertently (?) suggests more organization and willing.

If you think/are sure that you can improve to at least a 2200, then I would suggest retaking it. Just my 2 cents.
