Hey ok so I just have some questions about mizzou. I’m taking a college tour of the campus this summer , it’s one of the schools I’m considering since I live in the state I could really save money & so far from my own research it looks like I’d really like it.
But the only thing I’m kinda nervous about is the diversity . I’m African American & bisexual male. I heard about mizzou having a lot of race issues . Is this still an ongoing problem? I’m not saying this to be ignorant or anything . I just want to know, in fact it’s not gonna change my mind about my opinion of the school because racism is very live everywhere. I just want to know. are there any mizzou kids out there who know about this ? & how is the gay, lesbian, bi scene on campus ?
You’ll be fine. Good and bad pretty much everywhere. Most Mizzou students friendly and welcoming. Those that aren’t aren’t. This is a big school with people who reflect our society as a whole. The administration does a good job outlining the expectations of its students, but we are a free society, right? So just focus on your goals, the friends you’ll make, and do unto others …
Yes, their racial problems are still on going.
Mizzou is fine. Great school with amazing opportunities. If you are reading/watching the news many campuses have issues. Don’t let this stop you.
