AFROTC Scholarship

<p>I am applying for the AFROTC high school scholarship program this year and am what my chances are. I have good academics, 4.0 unweighted GPA, 1480 SAT, and 32 ACT with a 36 in the math section, I am 5th in my class of 700. I am captain of the swim team and hopefully will also be captain of the water polo team. If anyone has been through the process of applying for a high school scholarship in the last year or two how competitive will I be able to be for the Type 1, full tuition, scholarship? Thank you for your time. </p>

<p>P.S I plan to put down mechanical engineering for my top choice of major</p>

<p>You are definitely right at the average mark for those who got a type 1 scholarship in 20121. It all depends on teh competition. If you go to the FAQs for AFROTC you can see that your numbers put you right in the middle of the pack of those who got the scholarship last year.</p>
