After 2 Long Weeks

Sufi York

I got in with a 1370 and a 2.8 GPA

both my perents went there though, and I had 2 perfect SAT IIs

I had decent ECs, and mediocre recs and essays

My daughter was waitlisted from Univ Of Del last year. It was her first choice so she was upset. She wrote them letters about how much she wants to go there, her counselor wrote also. It didnt help, they hardly took anyone off the waitlist. She was however, later sent a letter, asking if she would want to start in the January admission. We said yes, thinking maybe it would help to get off the waitlist. She then decided on Penn State main campus and loves it. When her admissions packet came for her to start at Delaware in January, she told me to throw it out....

I think that's the right decision to be honest. Delaware is quite the competitive school (hence admitted PSU and not UDel) and like other highly selective schools, positions do open up. Is it worth the transfer usually? Probably not.

i STILL haven't heard, they insist that they have all my information and my decision is coming soon.

Got in 1460 SATS, 4.0 GPA, wrote a novel, great ECs, and one letter of Rec. (DE resident)

eHart - did you get a decision? Keep in mind you can ask for an extension.

I got waitlisted at Delaware and still haven't heard anything. I might just stick with St. Joseph's U.

Okay I got an email, I'm finally in. Longest admissions process ever.

Congrats!!! It was really competitive this year.

that's interesting. I got into the honors program at UD with:

3.7 UW GPA
1330/1600 2000/2400
good EC's, recs, and whatnot.

I don't see enough of a difference between us that i would get honors and you would be rejected.
