After Acceptance Letters...

Hi, my name is alex.

So I applied to UCSD and UCLA for computer engineering. For berkeley, I didn't expect to get in if i applied for EECS, so instead I applied for toxicology. It ended up being, I got into UCSD-warren- and I got rejected from LA. I also got accepted to berkeley! I really like berkeley but I don't want to do toxicology. I wanted to transfer or somehow get into EECS. Should i just go to UCSD or try my luck and go to berkeley while trying to transfer into EECS. Do you guys think I have a chance at Berkeley. I know transferring requires a high GPA, I'm sure its quite difficult at berkeley.

Also, should I appeal to LA? What are the chances of them reaccepting me?

Not only this, I also got into Carnegie Mellon, is it a good school? my sister said the location and environment isn't so great and all she did was study. I want to go into a well rounded college so I have doubts going to EECS there. I just want to see any suggestions about CMU.

If you think I should go to berkeley and i do have a fighting chance(switch from toxicology to eecs), what do you guys recommend i should do freshman year?

thanks so much

hey man, sorry I cant offer much info, but I would say visit both schools and try to talk to berkeley kids. For example try the livejournal ( livejournal.com) page of berkeley and post and ask transfer kids if any did what you wanted to do, how hard was it and etc.
