I’m waiting for the schools where I applied to get back to me, but after getting accepted, when exactly do I move in to my dorm? Is it a few weeks before the Fall semester or early in the Summer? I’m only really asking because I wanted to know when I can quit my lousy fast-food job and move on with my life lol
The school itself will let you know when accepted students programs are, when orientation and move in day is, etc. Usually move in is a few weeks before the fall semester, I’ve never really heard of someone moving into their dorm early in the summer although I could be wrong!
You will be notified by your school the exact date but it is usually a few days before classes start. You will have to flip burgers for a while longer.
Under select circumstances, you could be permitted to move in early, but this is rare. It’s usually reserved in special cases such as students who are homeless and have nowhere else to go.
Move is day is usually a couple of days before the first day of class.
You can get a rough idea of move in day for next fall by looking up the 2015 move in day for your school.
Right… it looks as though it will be late August, early September.
But if you hate your job that much, what’s keeping you there? Quitting and staying home isn’t too different from quitting and living in that dorm.
