Wow. Stupid Calculus trap article on AoPS website had me wondering.

And I believe I can qualify for the USAMO this year. It will take some work though.

Discrete Mathematics will provide you with all your mind-blowing mathy needs.

Ok so I’m in the same boat as the OP but I have access to the local university so I have access to a lot more classes. What classes do you all recommend?

A course list would be useful. You can’t really go wrong just taking MVC and Diff Eq’s.

^

If you ever find out where you got Lin. Alg by axler, mind hitting me up?

It was only for people with a UCLA Internet connection.

http://umichbooks.wikispaces.com/Math

That works for anyone though. They don’t have Axler.

Not quite related but not quite worthy of its own thread. I’m in BC this year and want to get as much of the fundamental math and sciences out of the way before I start Computer Engineering next fall. Should I do Linear Algebra or Diffy Q’s or both this summer?

I would say both, I mean it’s a good question, since I’m planning to go in the same field.

Do Multivariable first. Or Diff Eq’s. Or both

Take Linear Algebra at the college you’re going to attend.

Brother, take the Group Theory Course on AoPS that is the HARDEST course out there, and 2nd hardest is WOOT,
