After Harvard, which school...

Peking University, along with Tsinghua, are both compared the premier Universities in China (harvard/Mit respectively). I'll be willing to be 90% of HYPS students couldn't gain admittance into Tsinghua/Peking simply due to the amount of competition in China.

Just goes too show that admissions rates alone do not make a stellar university.

Freedom of speech would be a nice touch...

"couldn't gain admittance into Tsinghua/Peking simply due to the amount of competition in China."

Or if they don't like the government.

The CCP government is now making incentives to try and lure overseas Chinese with valuable skills back to China by guaranteeing admission into the top schools for their children.

Fortunately for the free world, it doesn't seem to be working.

Who knew blue skies, food that doesn't have toxic chemicals in it, uncensored internet and news, and basic human rights protected under the rule of law could be so popular? ;-)

I feel bad for the state of the workers in the "workers' state"

90% of HYPS students couldn't gain admittance into Peking simply due to the fact that they can't speak Chinese either. What's your point?

I actually bet people who can get into HYPS could get into Peking/Tsinghua

Peking/Tsinghua has nothing on IIT (Indian Institute of Technology).

300k applicants for about 4k seats.

Sorry RootBeerCaesar, but UMich/Ann Arbor is indeed better known worldwide than Princeton. They are the 2nd or 3rd top research university in the US. Princeton doesn't have professional schools. You need to broaden your horizons.

HAHA THE BEST! You make me happy that I'm going to Duke next year dude.

^haha, yeah dude, props on that btw, your class is (on average) smarter than mine

IIT students are great test-takers with no people skills (though they gain those afterwards). That is all. People start studying for IIT entrance exams from the time they are 13.

Michigan Ann Arbor is better known worldwide than Princeton? Maybe among research circles or something.

Berkeley is famous because of political events too (though being a top 3 research university doesn't hurt).
