Did any of your kids write thank you notes after college admission interviews?
Does anyone have sample letters that they can share?

Yes. Format is simple. Three lines is sufficient. The letter should include an appreciation of the inteviewers’ taking time to interview. The letter can also express interest/appreciation in any info that the interviewer provided, and the letter can also reiterate the applicant’s interest in the school. The letter also can include any important info that the student neglected to mention during the interview.

Absolutely, they did. Son did emails. D did stationery. Both wrote approximately what nstarmom said.
As a matter of fact, D called one of her interviewers today to let her know that she was admitted.

Son sent handwritten note after each interview and also after tours/info. sessions if he made a real connection. He thanked the interviewer and relayed something that struck him during the visit. I actually found that, other then formatting checks, he did a much better job of articulating his gratitude than I. I think it’s important that kids draft their own notes.

Good luck!
